When developing a new product, engineers need to determine which European laws and regulations apply. This often involves manually reviewing hundreds of pages. We developed a structured roadmap that guides engineers through these decisions and helps them find relevant regulations more directly. It makes the research easier to navigate and removes the need to start from scratch for every product. The roadmap makes preparation for the development process more efficient.
This project focuses on automatically extracting and processing relevant information from documents. Data that would otherwise need to be found and copied manually is made available for further analysis or applications. The emphasis is on turning document content into usable data: information needs to be found and prepared for further processing. The aim is to reduce repetitive searching and manual data entry, making it easier to put document information to use.
This project combines the analysis of customer behaviour in an online shop with the development of a Power BI dashboard. We examined how customers use the shop and translated the analysis into a clear report. The dashboard makes the insights accessible, providing a basis for discussions about the shop and potential improvements. The aim is to better support decisions about the online shop with data on actual customer behaviour.
We developed a State of Health calculator to estimate the health and remaining capacity of batteries. State of Health provides insight into a battery's condition relative to its original capacity. The calculator translates the analysis into a useful estimate of what the battery can still deliver. This gives users a basis for decisions about continued use, maintenance or replacement, taking the condition of the battery as the starting point.
We developed forecasting models for production machinery that translate available data into predictions about the machines. To make the outputs useful in practice, we combined the models with an application and a Power BI dashboard. This gives users insight into the results without having to work with the underlying model themselves. The combination connects the calculations to an accessible application, designed to better support decisions about the production process.
In this ongoing predictive maintenance project, we are working to forecast maintenance needs for traffic lights. The central question is how data can provide earlier insight into when maintenance will be needed. We focus on translating that information into predictions that can support maintenance planning. The aim is to make it easier to plan maintenance ahead of time and help reduce the risk of unexpected outages.
We used mathematical models to optimise bus routes. The routing problem is translated into a model that allows possible solutions to be explored and compared within the specified constraints. This provides a structured basis for route decisions, rather than relying solely on manual comparison. The aim is to develop more efficient routes and make it clear how different choices contribute to a suitable solution.
